Cancun Was AMAZING

Well its been about a month since I've been in Cancun and I'm just putting pictures on my blog... Life has been a little crazy lately!  But here are a few pictures of my trip... The hotel was really nice- we were all impressed with it- there were a few little things that were weird (some days we'd have lots of towels and other days we'd have none- in my room as well as in Ryan and Meagens room we had one bed with blankets and one bed without) but nothing that made our trip bad- we just laughed about it.

So heres the hotel we stayed at.

We did some relaxing at our hotel and at the sister hotel- everything was included at both hotels so that was nice- as you can tell we didn't have many waves at our beach and the sister hotel did- so we went there on Christmas day and had a quick swim and then it started to rain so we went shopping- who would have guessed shopping on Christmas day in Mexico?!  Not a typical thing my family would do.

Here is My dad, me, Ryan and Meagen in front of the sister hotel.

On the Tuesday we went on a day tour to Coba- we got to see the pyramid ruins and climb one- it was about 120 feet- such an amazing experience, and then we went for lunch then went to a cenote- another awesome thing to see and we also went to a Mayan Village.

This is the pyramid that we climbed- there is just a little rope in the middle that you can use to climb up and down it.  Its one of the only pyramids in the area that you can still climb.  There were a few people who had a hard time getting down but surprisingly I was ok!

This is the place we went for lunch.  The food was really good- I was a little hesitant to eat the food but I didn't get sick so that was a bonus!

Here is the cenote that we went to- it was amazing. We were able to go swimming in the water- it was refreshing.

This is the house that we went throu at the village.  Inside they had some hammocks, a few other things and then a stereo.  It was very interesting to see.

On Wednesday we took a catamaran to Isla Majeris.  We went sailing, snorkeling, ate lunch on a private beach (well with about 50 other people that took the tour), went shopping and relaxed.  We all really enjoyed that day.

Here is the beach we got to relax at.

Thursday we went to Xelha. We got to snorkel, go on a river ride, relax, and go on a rope bridge- which was SO much fun!!  It was hard for me to stay on because most of the other people on the bridge were tall- I don't think I've ever had to stretch that much!!

This is a picture of one of the types of fish that were swimming less than a foot below me.. I was a little scared at first but I got over it. I also got to see a stingray and some other colorful fish.

The rest of the trip we relaxed on the beach, went to walmart, went to market 28 and ate... we ate almost every two hours it was crazy!!  The food in the buffet was good but we were disappointed in the other restaurants.  Overall it was an amazing trip!!

We got back on December 30 about 11:30pm- and as we arrived in Kelowna we saw the snow!!  So my dad went to start the van and was going to pick up my mom and Ryan and Meagen and myself at the front of the airport... but he accidentally locked the keys in the van sooo we had to wait for BCAA to get there to open the van up.. we eventually arrived home- at 1 in the morning- it was a long day so it was nice to be home in my own bed.  Well thats all about my trip.

God bless.

God is good!

Wow!  Its been over a month since I've written so I thought Id give an update.  Things are pretty good- this past month I've been able to get so much closer to God and I have grown soo much spiritually which Im so excitted about!!  Yesterday I was having a little bit of a bad day so my friend and I went to church and then we were going to go to the movies but I decided to just come home and read my bible and pray for a few hours which was totally needed!!  But yea God is amazing! Im just in awe of what He does within me and just how amazing He really is!

Since both my grandparents passed away this past year my parents decided to take Ryan, Meagen and I to Can Cun for Christmas- so we leave from Kelowna on Dec. 23 and get back to Kelowna on Dec. 30!  I am SOO excitted to go!  But a part of me is upset just cuz Christmas wont be the same without my grandparents but it will be an amazing time for my family.  We are going to have some of our traditional Christmas stuff the weekend before- having the bean soup (sooo yummy) and fish dinner we usually have on Christmas Eve with my moms side of the family- cept this year it will be all my dads family which will be great its just not the same, and then we will be going to Prospera for their Christmas production that they have going on there.

Work has been a little crazy- lots of screaming kids about a week ago.  I had one child scream & crying  "Scooby Doo" for about an hour out of a three and a half hour session... Not fun!  But we were teaching him that he cant always get what he wants cuz his sister wanted to watch Toy Story and yea he didnt seem to like that idea too much. He was screaming soo loud that when I got home I had a pounding headache!!  And I felt bad for the girl who was shadowing me- it was her first time meeting him and then she got her training and started working with him a few days later, things seem to be better with him so thats good.  And this past week I have had some great sessions with the kids so thats why I do what I do!

Hmm I think thats all... God bless!

Too much to handle without You by my side

Wow.  This past week has been a very emotional week for me.  I wasn't feeling good all last week so I called in sick on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Wednesday morning around 9:30 I got a call from Stillwaters Private Hospital (where my Granny had been for the past 9 monthes) saying that she wasnt doing well and they think she had a few mini strokes so I went down- met my mom and then my aunt and uncle came later on and then about 11:45 my Granny passed away.  Its such a bitter-sweet feeling- Im so sad to see her go- my mom and I spent a lot of time with her- we made sure we saw her pretty much every day or every other day so I will miss her tremedously but its also a relief because I know she is not suffering anymore and she is up in Heaven looking over us and is in her true home with her husband and family and friends who have passed away before her.  This weekend is the funeral so a lot of family will be coming which will be good to have them here.

My best friend (Esther) and I had been planning a trip to Vancouver for the past month and with me being sick and my Granny we were unsure if we were going to go but luckily we did go- we had a lot of fun.  We went shopping (bought lots of clothes), went to a movie, got our nails and hair done, and stayed at my Aunts house. My aunt put on a song that my cousin wrote the lyrics and music for- someone really liked it so they wanted a girl to sing the song and record it- it is such an amazing song- its about giving yourself to God- just who you are.

We got back from Vancouver last night and it was snowing like crazy at Esthers place (Elkhart Lodge) so I stayed over night.  During the night her dad had two attacks of some sort (they think it might be seizures)- I found out about it this morning and just broke down- her dad is such an amazing man and I have been able to get to know him and appreciate him. So its really hard to see that, plus I haven't been able to really have time to myself to fully greive my Granny passing away so this morning it was like emotions overload.  But if people could pray for my friend and her family that would be really appreciated.

With everything thats gone on I haven't been able to work much- last week I worked Monday and this week I will be working Tuesday and Wednesday.  My boss has been great throu the whole thing which I am so thankful for.  So it will be weird to get back to work next week.

Well thats all for today. God bless.

Its been a while...

Well I haven't written in over a month so I thought I should give another update.  Not much is new with me.  Im keeping busy at work (my three monthes just happened last week so now I get vacation days, sick days and all the other good benefits :D).  My schedule is changing on Tuesday so I will be working with two different little guys and one little girl.  It should be good- and I will be getting more hours so that is always a good thing.

Other then work I've helped Ryan and Meagen with their renos on the condo they bought- I havent been able to help much but where-ever I can.  Its going to look awesome once they are finished- new floors, painted everything and some other updates.

My friend and I are planning a road trip for the end of the month so I am really looking forward to that!!  Its for both of our birthdays- we wanted to do it before but I was still in school so I didnt have the $$ to do it.  We are probably going to the states for a weekend and stay in a hotel and go shopping- should be tons of fun.

Well thats all for now.. I will post pictures on here of my trip at the end of the month.

God bless.

Church Signs

I love looking at the little sayings Churches have on their signs.  Here are a few that I've seen in the past few days....

How much faith does it take?!

Such a good questioning- I saw that on my way to work in Winfield this morning.    Which is really weird cuz my friend and I had a big discussion yesterday about living fully for God and God can do anything if you have faith.  With that being said- I've been sort of struggling with having loads of faith lately.  I totally want to live my life for God and be the best person through HIm that I can be but I don't think I fully comprehend how much God can do as long as I just believe.

The other one I saw was...

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

When I first read this I didn't understand but then I was like WOW- powerful sentence.

I've been going to Trinity Baptist a lot lately and Im totally loving it- I missed this weekend cuz I was up at my friends house at the elkhart lodge and it was so weird not being able to go to the service!!!  But I love the worship and the messages there.

Other than Church and God my life pretty much consists of working, relaxing and hanging out with friends.   Im still enjoying work- I still have so much to learn but its going great- the kids I work with are all great- I have 3 little guys on my caseload that I see 2-3 times a week and then group and prep time.  I can't believe I've been working there for about 2 monthes now!  Its good right now but I can't see myself doing this long-term- I still want to go back to get my digree... in something

This summer has gone by sooo fast.  I've been able to go out on the boat a few times and got up wakeboarding- was able to do some jumps!!! I was suprised I could still wakeboard cuz I haven't been wakeboarding since the summer before last.

Well thats about all for me today... I thought I should give an update since its been over a month!  God bless!
